Located within the Municipality is the “Zoo within your own backyard,” the Elmwood Park Zoo. Adjacent to the Zoo is Elmwood Park, home to such amenities as the Bandshell, Bocci Ball Court, softball fields and picnic groves.

One could journey to Martin Luther King Jr. Park and experience the walking trail; bike, jog or walk the Schuylkill River Trail that passes through the Municipality or fish with the Stony Creek Anglers Association. There is also the choice of visiting any of the neighborhood “pocket” parks to simply relax and unwind.

From a vast array of shops and services in the Downtown to the Historic West Marshall Street Shopping District to the numerous parks and amenities to the historic architecture, one can experience firsthand the reason why Norristown is an exciting place to live, work and play.
