The Elmwood Park Zoo operated by the non-profit Norristown Zoological Society is located on Harding Boulevard next to Elmwood Park. Open year round from 10:00 A.M. to 5:00 P.M. (gates close at 4:00 P.M.) except for major holidays, the Zoo exhibits many different animals including bison, elk, prairie dogs, black-footed ferrets, cougars, jaguars, wolves, bighorn sheep, beavers, otters and various birds of prey.
