POSITION: Bi-Lingual Community Affairs Liaison




SALARY: $25.5628

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Two years increasingly responsible experience in administrative or secretarial positions; completion of high school; English/Spanish language

Proficiency; ability to work with and actively respond to public concerns professionally. Bachelor’s Degree in Criminal Justice or related field preferred. Successful background check required.


GENERAL DEFINITION: Administrative work developing, maintaining and promoting effective community relationships between the Norristown Police Department and local, state, federal governmental agencies, businesses and community groups. Incumbent provides assistance with Spanish translation and interpretation; assists in community events and engages in outreach programs. Must have the ability to adjust schedule as needed to attend necessary events. Worked is performed under the direction of the Chief of Police or staff supervisor.

On July 31, 2018 Plymouth Ambulance and Norristown Fire Department conducted joint UTV training. Members from both Departments trained on incline ascents and descents, winch use for evacuation and overall UTV safety and operations.
