Department of Human Services Invites Public Input on the Future of the Norristown State Hospital

Harrisburg, PA – The Department of Human Services (DHS) will host a listening session on the path forward for the Norristown State Hospital. DHS Acting Secretary Teresa Miller will present background information and a status update prior to opening the floor up for comment.

DHS invites community members, advocates, providers, legislators, and stakeholders to attend and provide comment during the public input process. The event will be held from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday, November 29, in Norristown.

Persons wishing to provide comments are asked to register by contacting Maggi Mumma at 717.425.7606 or Comments will be limited to three minutes to give all individuals a chance to speak. Written comment can also be submitted via email to
