Workshop: Abstracting the Urban Landscape with Mashiul Chowdhury

Mashiul will demonstrate and guide you in abstracting the urban landscape from photos or street sketches. Using charcoal to draw with and then paint, an abstraction of texture, color and balance of architectural shapes will emerge. Gesture drawing of the figure may be introduced to juxtapose the hard line of the architectural shapes. Please bring your bring urban street and figure reference photos to paint from.
