The History of Willow Grove Park
Join the Historical Society of Montgomery County on Saturday, June 11, 2016, from 12:30 to 2:00 p.m. when historian and reenactor Judy Parrish tells the history of Willow Grove Park from its opening in 1896 to the present day.
Dressed as a person of the period, Judy Parrish will discuss the history of Willow Grove Park and the changes it went through over its eighty years of operation. The former amusement park is now the home of a large shopping mall- Willow Grove Park Mall, which opened in August 1982.
The Historical Society of Montgomery County, located at 1654 DeKalb Street in Norristown, PA, is handicapped accessible.
Saturday presentations begin at 12:30 p.m. with a social gathering and light refreshments and lecture starting at 1:00. This program is free and open to the public.
