Pleading not Guilty

Ticket to Citation process

If you wish to plead not guilty you must wait to receive a citation.

Registration information is first electronically transmitted to PENNDOT for current owner name and address.

Upon receiving the information from PENNDOT a "Delinquent Violation Notice" is mailed by Complus Data to the registered owner. This letter is sent out within two (2) weeks of receipt of the parking ticket.

Once the "Delinquent Violation Notice" due date expires the ticket progresses to a citation with in thirty (30) days and is delivered to the appropriate District court

The citation is then sent to the registered owner by the District Judge. You must respond within ten (10) working days of receipt of the citation, post the required collateral and a hearing date will be scheduled to contest the violation.

Be advised, if you plead guilty or are found guilty before the Magisterial District Judge additional costs will be assessed.
