YMWIC Open House 5/24/18

YMWIC’s mission is to empower and prepare economically disadvantaged and historically underrepresented youth to excel and
become leaders in (STEM) careers. We will be hosting an open house for grades 5-12 to provide program information and registration for our 2018/2019 program year.

OPEN TO THE PUBLIC

Join Society Trustees, Staff and Membership to honor the veterans buried at Montgomery Cemetery. Wreath laying, speeches, military reenactors, and more will be part of this day of remembrance.

Over 400 veterans are buried at this special place, including five Civil War generals. Visitors meet at the gate-house at 11:00 am to begin the day’s observance. Activities are held outdoor and include walking to the gravesites. Light refreshment will be served in the Gatehouse after the program. This event is free and the public is encouraged to attend.
