POSITION: RECREATION DEPARTMENT MANAGER
LOCATION: MUNICIPALITY OF NORRISTOWN
SALARY: $61,000 - $66,000
HOURS: VARIED, NIGHTS AND WEEKENDS MAY BE REQUIRED
EMPLOYMENT: FULL-TIME, EXEMPT, AND NON-UNION
DEADLINE: March 16, 2018
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Five years increasingly responsible public recreation work including three years of administrative and supervisory experience. Bachelor Degree in Recreation Administration or related field. Penn. Child Abuse History Clearance, PA State Police and FBI clearances required; First Aid and CPR certified, valid PA DL.
GENERAL DEFINITION: Managing, supervising, planning, marketing, implementation, evaluation of municipal recreational program and daily operations; manages contracts with outside vendors and ensures regulatory compliance in all programs. Worked is performed under the supervision of the Municipal Administrator.

PART-TIME ADMINISTRATIVE SUPPORT
POSITION: ADMINISTRATIVE SUPPORT – PLANNING AND MUNICIPAL DEPT.

HOURLY WAGE: 14.9343 PER HOUR
HOURS: 8:30 AM TO 3:45 PM – TUESDAY - FRIDAY

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Two years increasing responsible experience in clerical or administrative work. Accurate typing skills, minimum of 45 wpm. Knowledge of general office procedures. Proficient in computer skills applications; Excel and Word. Experienced with fax, copy machines, etc.; ability to learn and apply policies and procedures. Must have the ability to work with sensitive documents and maintain confidentiality. Excellent customer service skills; excellent written and oral communication skills.
GENERAL DEFINITION: General receptionist duties and clerical support including but not limited to answering phones, data processing, record keeping, file management, document reproduction – copying and scanning. Work with sensitive information and interacts with a diverse group of external callers and visitors as well with internal contacts at all levels of the municipal; other duties as assigned.
Work is performed under the supervision of the Director/Asst. Director of Planning and Municipal Development.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: HIGH SCHOOL DIPLOMA OR GED; CURRENT PA CHILD ABUSE HISTORY CLEARANCE, PA STATE POLICE CRIMINAL BACKGROUND CHECK CLEARANCE & FBI CLEARANCE. Must have the ability to interact with children, motorist and other members of the public, pleasantly and effectively. Ability to adjust to changing work hours; ability to walk; stand continuously; work in adverse weather conditions; the ability to be assertive and control any given situation; the ability to work without direct supervision and to make quick decisions based on accurate assessment of a situation, using knowledge and common sense.
Working home telephone is required.
GENERAL DEFINITION: This is entry-level work involving assisting school children to cross intersections. Assignments are limited in nature and are carried out to detailed instructions. Incumbent responsibilities include maintaining traffic control; ensuring the safety of children going to and from scool. After training, work is performed under the superivision of a Supervisor, Police Lieutenant or Chief of Police.
