NORRISTOWN, PA -- Some cool things are happening at the Norristown Public Library

All children's programs are first come and first served, unless noted otherwise, libarians remind the public. 

The library suggests you arrive early to guarantee admission. Doors will close and a sign will be posted on the door to the Children’s Learning Center when maximum capacity for each program has been reached. Programs begin on time: 

Tuesdays through May 16
Pre-K Adventures – 10:30 am –Activities are aimed at developing skills for Kindergarten, with stories, crafts, fun movement songs, and hands-on activities. For ages 3-5 with a caregiver. Drop in.
 
Tuesdays and Thursdays through June 8
Homework Helpers – 5:00 pm – Bilingual volunteers are available to help students with homework. For kids in grades K-6. Drop in.
 
Wednesdays through May 17
Baby Lap Rap – 10:30 am - Simple stories, new and traditional songs, shaker eggs and rhythm sticks for your baby and you! Flannelboard rhymes and props will help your child learn and play with Mother Goose rhymes. Ages 0-24 months with a caregiver. Drop in.
 
Thursdays through May 18
Toddler Tickle Tales – 10:30 am – Stories, songs, rhymes, and activities for young preschoolers. Ages 2 to 3 with a caregiver. Drop in.
 
Saturday, February 11
LEGO + - 10:30 am - Create and build using a variety of great materials for the budding engineer:  LEGO, K’Nex, Straws & Connectors, and more! For children entering grades K-6—children under 8 must be accompanied by an adult. Drop in.
 
Friday, February 17
Spy Codes – 2:00 PM – Did you know George Washington was a spymaster? Decipher a code to find a hidden message, then make up coded messages of your own. Grades K-6. Children under 8 must be accompanied by an adult. Drop in. Norristown area schools day off activity.
 
Saturday, February 18
Roll Over and Read! – 11:00 am-1:00 pm – Elementary age kids read to specially trained dogs. For kids entering grades K-6. Children under 8 must be accompanied by an adult. Drop in.
