State Hospital Community Stakeholder Meetings RESCHEDULED

PUBLIC MEETING INFORMATION (RESCHEDULED):

The Pennsylvania Department of General Services (DGS) has retained Michael Baker International (Michael Baker) to conduct an objective land planning study of the Norristown State Hospital campus located in Norristown and West Norriton Township.  The Norristown State Hospital Campus is currently under review for environmental concerns, current land use, potential future land use, infrastructure, zoning, and economic impact. The campus does not include the portion of the property located in East Norriton Township currently known as the Norristown Farm Property.

Stakeholder input is important to the planning process.  Identifying opportunities and concerns of stakeholders who currently use the Norristown State Hospital campus and stakeholders that have interest in its future use will ensure the land planning study considers multiple viewpoints and represents the highest and best use for the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania and its citizens.

The two community meetings being held to discuss the land planning study will be RESCHEDULED due to logistical issues. We will be sure to publicize the dates and times of the meetings as soon as they are available.
