Norristown Fire Department Will Distribute Thanksgiving Dinners to Families In Need for the 4th year


NORRISTOWN, PA – The Norristown Fire Department announced today they will distribute their 4th Annual Thanksgiving Dinner for Norristown families in need.


Fire Chief Tom O’Donnell has coordinated this event for the 4th straight year after recognizing the need in the community.  “The Fire Department looks for opportunities to give back.  It’s an initiative we hold close to our hearts.”  Said Fire Chief O’Donnell.

Full turkey dinners with all the trimmings will be provided to selected families by the Norristown Fire Department staff and volunteers on Wednesday, November 21st.  Pick up will take place at the Montgomery Hose Fire House at 201 West Freedley Street from 9:00 A.M. to 3:00 P.M.


This program would not be possible without the help of local businesses who donated towards the dinners; Aman’s Indian Bistro, USM, JP Warner Benefits, Randolph Insurance, Dekalb Street Thriftway, Sav-A-Lot, Altieri Meats and Signarama.

On July 31, 2018 Plymouth Ambulance and Norristown Fire Department conducted joint UTV training. Members from both Departments trained on incline ascents and descents, winch use for evacuation and overall UTV safety and operations.
