KidsMake Studio

Open workshop time for kids who attend our regular KidsMake sessions. We supply the materials, the kids think up the projects! A parent-signed release form is required to attend. Class size is limited.

Get Ready for Kindergarten

Block Party: Preschoolers hear stories and use wooden blocks to learn about their world, how to cooperate with each other, and develop problem solving and fine motor skills. For children ages 3-1/2 to 5. Class size is limited. Drop in.

Dragon Boat hosts Winter Wonderland at RiverFront Park

Come join the Dragon Boat Club of Norristown as we celebrate the Christmas season with Carols, Mr and Mrs Claus, cookies and of course hot chocolate. Riverfront Park will be transformed into a winter wonderland with luminaria lights, candyland theme decorations and the smell of hot chocolate. Come sing some carols, enjoy the warmth of the community, and greet Santa Claus as he arrives by Dragon Boat to talk with the children. The festivities start at 6:00pm at Riverfront Park on December 5th.

1. Call to Order: Bill Ward, Chairman

2. Roll Call:

3. Approval of Minutes of the HARB meeting held on November 18, 2015.

4. Board Review of Applications:

➢ 15-12-01 – 25 East Marshall Street - HARB Zone A – Application received to remove existing sign and install a new exterior sign.
➢ 15-12-02 – 609 Noble Street - HARB Zone B – Install a Wrought Iron railing to left side of top set of steps at front porch.
➢ 15-12-03 – 829 Swede Street – HARB Zone A – Application received to remove the A frame section of shingle roofing material and install new shingle to match adjoin property. Continue the cornice design to match adjoining property.
➢ 15-12-04 – 530 Haws Avenue - HARB Zone A – Application received to remove and replace 10 windows. New windows will be vinyl.
➢ 15-12-05 – 1333 Dekalb Street - HARB Zone B – Application received cap dormer window on south side and install 10’ of downspout at dormer.
➢ 15-12-06 – 510 West Lafayette Street - HARB Zone B – Application received to replace 3rd floor level slate roofing system and install Timberline Architectural Shingle roofing. Replace front door with wooden door.
➢ 15-12-07 – 122 West Marshall Street – HARB Zone A – Application received to remove old wood windows and install new vinyl replacement windows.

5. In-Kind Approvals: None

6. Old Business: Application for 520 Haws has requested the project to be
continued till the January 2016 meeting night
7. New Business: Review and approve 2016 proposed meeting schedule
