NORRISTOWN POLICE DEPT

PARKING ENFORCEMENT

 

 

Purpose: The function of the parking division of the Norristown Police Dept. is to locate and enforce all parking violations of the Municipality of Norristown and of the State of Pennsylvania. This is to ensure the safe movement of traffic though out the Municipality.

 

Make up: The parking division is currently made up of 1 sworn Police Officer and 3 Parking Enforcement Officers (PEO). This division falls under the command of Staff Services, headed up by Lt. Todd Dillon

A)    Officer Edward Rambo: Supervisor

1.     Handle citizen complaints

2.     Oversees Scofflaw program

3.     Investigate abandoned/salvage vehicles

 

B)    PEO Amelia Mazzerle: Street Supervisor

1.     Handle citizen complaints

2.     Answer PEO questions

3.     Enforce parking regulations

 

C)    PEO Ben Rosario, Dennis Gravinese:

1.     Enforce parking regulations

 

The Parking enforcement zones are broken down into 4 areas of coverage.

A)      Maintenance route: Follow a set schedule Mon-Fri, 8am-4pm enforce

No Parking Hours indicated

                       

B)      Meter Route: Enforce parking regulations around the Montgomery

        County Court of Common Pleas and Main St business district.

1.     Meters

2.     Permit parking (Municipal Lots)

3.     Perform kiosk/meter maintenance

4.     Residential Permit parking

 

                      C)   Zone East: Enforce parking regulations east of Pine St/ Swede St

1.     All State and Local parking regulations.

           

 D)    Zone West: Enforce parking regulations west of Pine St/ Swede St.

1.     All state and local parking regulations
