The 3 Year Part I Comparison data set represents Part I Crimes and Violent Part I Crimes for January 1st to December 31st, 2011-2013, before the crime reduction strategy was put in place, compared to January 1st to December 31st, 2014-2016, when the crime reduction strategy was implemented. Part I Crimes were reduced by 31 percent and Violent Part I Crimes were reduced by 38 percent.
The Heroin data set represents all fatal and non-fatal overdoses for January 1st to December 31st, 2014-2016. Fatal overdoses have increased by 213 percent from 2014 and Non-fatal overdoses have increased by 300 percent from 2014. The data shows overdoses by month, geographic area (GA), Grid, Day of Week, Time of Day, Age, Race and Sex. The map shows how the geographic areas and grids are broken down in Norristown.
The 2016 Calls For Service (CFS) data set represents the types of calls Norristown Police Officers responded to for the time period January 1st to December 31st. In 2016, we had a total of 44,925 CFS. The top three CFS by type for 2016 were police information with a total of 5,742 calls, Foot Patrols with a total of 4,313 calls and Suspicious Activity/Person(s) with a total of 3,732 calls.
