The Municipal Council of Norristown will meet online on Sept. 15 at 6:30 p.m. for its monthly work session

Sept. 16 update Ordinances 20-14 and 20-15 were approved for advertisement, both by a 5-2 vote of council. 

Ordinance 20-14: Requiring the Norristown Municipal Waste Authority to convey the sewer system and all property and assets of the Authority to the Municipality under provisions of Section 5619 and Section 5622 of the Pennsylvania Municipal Authorities Act and vacating the previously advertised Ordinance 20-13.

Ordinance 20-15: Amending Norristown Ordinance No. 11 of 2020, authorizing the execution by the Municipality of an Asset Purchase Agreement between the Municipality and the purchaser Aqua Pennsylvania Wastewater, Inc.


RESOLUTIONS: Resolution 20-76 (handicap parking); Resolution 20-77 (Pennoni, geotechnical services); Resolution 20-78 (Penonni, Sawmilll Creek Culvert); Resolution 20-79 (Pennoni, Arch Street Greenway I); Resolution 20-80 (Pennoni, Arch Street Greenway II-IV); Resolution 20-81 (Pennoni, Main Street Streetscape, Phase IV), Resolution 20-82 (Capital Improvements Plan) and Resolution 20-83 (Legal petition). 

All resolutions were adopted unanimously, with the exception of 20-83 passed by a 5-2 vote (VP Smith and Councilman Jones voting against).
