Municipal Council on July 20, 2021 authorized the advertisement of Ord. 21-11 and Ord. 21-12. A vote by council on these ordinance is expected in August.
Ordinance 21-11: Amend Chapter 239 (Property Maintenance) Article I of the municipal code by adopting the 2021 edition of the Norristown building safety, property maintenance and housing code.
Ordinance 21-12: Amend Chapter 251 (Building Contractors) of the municipal code by renaming the chapter to Contractor Licensing and replacing it entirely by creating new administrative and contractor licensing requirements.
(Per §41.4-04 of the Municipal Charter, advertisement of an ordinance shall be published at least once in one or more newspapers of general circulation in the Municipality not more than 60 days nor less than seven days prior to the Council meeting scheduled for consideration of the ordinance.)
