[ARCHIVED] Request for proposals- On-Call, Snow Removal Services

The Municipality of Norristown is soliciting proposals for on-call, Contractor-owned, heavy equipment, and operators, to support Municipal snow removal services. Contractors are encouraged to submit proposals that identify equipment which would be available at a pre-determined rate to work in conjunction with Municipality staff and equipment. The Municipality typically performs snow removal services between November 1 and April 1 within Municipal jurisdiction on public streets, public parking lots, parks, and sidewalks adjacent to Municipal property. Snow Removal Services are performed based upon unpredictable weather conditions that may occur at any time of day, any day of the week.

The snow removal services by the Contractor are anticipated to include the following:

a. Snow plowing of streets, roads, and highways

b. Hauling of snow to Municipality designated locations

Proposals shall be submitted in a sealed envelope to:

Proposals shall be labeled: 

“Proposal for On-Call, Snow Removal Services”

Proposals will be received until 2:00PM, local time on August 20th, 2021.
