The 2023 budget
The $40.5 million budget is looking at a $1.8 million revenue gap which is covered through an increase of real estate taxes from 16 to 17 mills and use of $943,000 in ARPA money. Final budget adoption happened by a 6-0 vote of Municipal Council on Dec. 6, 2022.
Budget Meetings
The first public look at the 2023 budget was at the Municipal Council Work Session on Oct. 18. Three public hearings were scheduled to discuss expenses, forecasted revenues, and tax rates for the budget.
Oct. 27 and Nov. 9 at 6 p.m. and Nov. 21 at 12 p.m. All meetings were at the MCIU (2 W. Lafayette St.)
