The municipal boards and commissions that help influence the policies, development and well-being of Norristown need residents to fill open positions.
Each board, generally, requires five people and meets once a month. Term lengths last two to six years, depending on the board and vacancy being filled. All boards and commissions require that members be residents of the municipality. Some boards require certain qualifications in order to be considered, i.e., an architecture background for the Historical Architectural Review Board; and at this time, the Norristown Municipal Waste Authority requests that applicants have a financial background. All persons applying to serve will be subject to approval by Municipal Council.
