Construction activities will continue on Lafayette Street from Barbadoes to Ford. The Project will be put in the modified Stage 3 Traffic Configuration. Inside the work zone, Allan Myers will be grading roadway project wide, hauling out material, asphalt paving, and backfilling the culvert.
Flagger patterns and short-term lane closures will be implemented. Traffic should make all efforts to avoid the intersection of Lafayette and Swede and Lafayette and Dekalb. Lafayette will be closed between Mill Street and Walnut Street, with access remaining to August Moon Restaurant (from the west) and the dumpster company (from the east). The Schuylkill River Trail may also be minorly impacted, still allowing flow of bikes and pedestrians.
If CLOSED & DETOUR, is detour in affect only during working hours or around the clock?
Any lane closures will occur during working hours. The Stage 2 detour is currently placed. Lafayette between the Saw Mill Run Culvert and Dekalb will be placed in a one-way pattern headed west.
Between Where & Where: Work will be occurring intermittently between Barbadoes and Ford Streets. Detour: Lafayette will be detoured via Ford, Main, and Mill for westbound traffic and Dekalb, Main, and Franklin for eastbound traffic.
